Welcome to our new pages. You must be wondering what is the meaning of Ellada-mas. It means "Our Greece". Greece is more than a County, it is an ancient culture that survived the millennia and is planning to be around for more. To share and exchange the old and the new in culture, sciences and most of all weather and fun. Under ellada-mas.com there is only one page , this one. But we do have at the moment two separate sites under this domain.

The Parthenon was a religious and cultural place in antiquity. Construction began in 449 BC and was completed in 438 BC. Over the millennia it suffered a multitude of destructions, mainly from the hands of human beings. There is short video by Costas Gavras that explains the destructions and assigns responsibility to groups, including the Christian church, the Turks and finally the British which leads to the present conflict for the return of the stolen Marbles of the Parthenon.
